I’ve decided to declare Fridays  - before and after day at Cheeky Living!  Each friday I will post a before and after transformation of a piece of furniture. 

Our first before and after is of a vintage modern lounge chair I found at the Plaza Dorrego flea market in Buenos Aires.  The chair had a dirty, dingy mustard yellow velvet fabric on it – probably had not been cleaned in 30 years.  This chair definitely had potential.

 

 

I decided to go with a dark gray velvet fabric which would look nice with a bold colorful pillow on it.  The velvet fabric gives is a rich 1940′s look and to jazz things up even more I used black velvet fabric for the welting on the seat and back.
